This is for that average person who has reasonable struggles and worries; having brown teeth that is as a result of the environs that you grew up in, thinking you are overweight so you decide to have an all fruit diet (You save money in the process so it’s a win win!) or you are praying that he/she says yes to you because you have been out in the game for so long and this person happens to be so suitable. These are things that are within my reach because I can relate to them. They are feasible to say the least.

There are other things which I simply can’t relate to. Lazy People. People with no goal, no plan or no vision. It is a complete waste of energy and time having a discourse with such beings. People worried about their lipstick rather than their grades. Working so hard to book an appointment with your defaced drug peddler instead of typing away at that assignment due on the same date. SMH

Being in a University in this age is wonderful. Being in a private university makes it even sweeter. You are slapped with the rude reality that you are actually poor. The car your folks back home consider to be a gem is a play toy for students. The phones that you see in high end shops that is reinforced with thick glass so that none of  the common morons like us attempt to make away with is being used by your classmates who will occasionally mock you in the sweetest way; be the cameraman . Take photos of them making foolish faces full of state of the art make up. (I still don’t subscribe to this school of thought).

With all this happening I have tried to understand why there is a lot of prejudice about students from certain universities. Some are perceived as rich, spoilt, drunkards and failures. Others are perceived as goons, unruly, uncouth, uncultured and unsuitable for any job market. I set out to find out why this is happening.

And I found an answer! No this is not like a Eureka moment or come to Jesus moment. It is a moment of disappointment and a lot of smh’s all over the place. The Kenyan university student is a waste of time. They are involved in a lot of rubbish to say the least. They can have lengthy discussions of how they are going to party and smoke all kinds of smokables (so long as it burns it is good to go!), they will miss classes the whole semester, write poorly prepared assignments and term papers, take part in all kinds of sexual activities and make a few babies along the way, sneak through university and finish with a degree get a job if possible but with nothing in the head. (Literally nothing!)

And this constitutes a considerable percentage of students. This is why aliens won’t talk to us. Students are lazy, comfortable and don’t want to work for anything. Probably because back at their homes a very good succession plan has been in the works and their parents are wealthy so it won’t hurt even if you are lazy. Or because back home your parents are just humble folk who have struggled to put you in a position to build yourself yet your stubborn, stupid form of human matter is wasting time chasing foolish goals and under performing in school. Or because you are just a difficult, rebellious human being who everyone’s nightmare is and wasting everyone’s time.

I still can’t fathom some things but I will choose to write about them in the next posts. But be sure, God is not happy with us. The fire that will burn us is doing push-ups somewhere; specifically for us. SMH

'this is why aliens wont talk to us' love that line
this article should be shared on all platforms as a wake up call for all our fellow university students and parents
it's time for them to get a glimpse of reality.
